Yeah, Yeah it's Monday blah blah, I was hanging out with a friend who is leaving for a long time yesterday so hence the Sunday Tunage becomes Monday kinda sad Tunage. So we I welcome some music to uplift this mood and massage the soul.

HALLOWEEENN

Its that special time of year for me, no not Free Comic Book Day (which I love) it's Halloweeeeen! Most people don't really get down with this day, but how else am I gonna get my scary jollies out in public and DRESS UP! whoop whoop. I'm going for something different this year, instead of going through my top 5 horror movies, I'm going to go through the cartoon of yester years that gave this boy a warm fuzzy feeling each Hallows eve and hopefully yours.

Could this week have been any more of an awesome time for new music. wow. A new album from the likes of Cut Copy, incredible material from 80''s dream synth master Lazerhawk and new shizzle from cemented great Erol Alkin. LETS GO!

Most of the time the general public regard the comic medium as mainly tights and flights kind of vibes, which is weird as right from the beginning comics has had many diverse genres explored and continues to do so.

One of the many things I love about comics' is that every once in awhile you get blown away by what an artist does in just a couple of panels. Over the past couple of years one such artist that is upping his game with each project is Jerome Opeña, I first witnessed his stuff when he drew for Uncanny X-Force, coupled with long time collaborator Rick Remender (awesome writer in his own..er..right) the visual language BLEW. ME. AWAY.

Matt v3.0

Wow so this is what being in the 3rd decade of my life feels like... the same as my earlier decades... as I wind down from my week long birthday festivities this mothers day, I cannot think of a better way than to begin this new chapter (cliché bleh) than with compiling a detailed essay list of my favourite music that has been my soundtrack for the last 30 years PSYCH!! That would be the audio equivalent of the great wall of china stuffed into a speaker. Instead I'll opt out of the "this is the music that shaped my life" blog and just post the gems that have seen me through the transition this past week, way way way better..

Hallo (Thats German for Hi)

I guess its time to actually do something with this blog which has become the online equivalent of a 2 week old takeout in the fridge (which reminds me...)

So I'm currently residing in Berlin, Germany for the past 5-ish months, and no I wont start vomiting German phrases and "coolest places to go around town" coz honestly even after a couple of night outs and Deutsch Lernin, I'm still at a dramatic hand gestures and utilising my limited Afrikaans to get by. Plus I want to avoid sounding like a dick....
